a) HOW TO GET TRAINING OF STATE DIPLOMA FOR DANCE TEACHERS (D.E)?
A Technical Aptitude Examination (TAE) is required.
This exam is organized twice a year by the Ministry of Culture: in October and April. Registrations are made at the DRAC (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs) of the candidate's home about 3 months in advance.

It is also necessary to pass an entrance audition organized by the PNSD which consists of a dance lesson in the candidate's discipline and an interview with the teaching staff.
The entrance exam program and registration forms are available on the PNSD website.

b) DOES THE PNSD PREPARE FOR TAE?
No, the PNSD does not prepare for TAE. It is necessary to get information at other school preparing professor diploma (D.E). in the region or elsewhere to prepare for TAE.
PNSD courses can be good technical training.

c) WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR THE TRAINING AND THE TRAINING PROGRAM?

d) WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS OFFERS IN PNSD?
The PNSD prepares the D.E in the 3 disciplines: classical, contemporary and jazz.

e) HOW MANY YEARS THE TRAINING LASTS?
Complete training takes two years. The first year concerns the groups of theoretical courses (History of dance, Anatomy and musical training) and the second year prepares the groups of theoretical courses of Pedagogy.

f) WE MAY HAVE SUBSIDIES / FELLOWSHIPS OR FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOLLOW D.E TRAINING?
Yes, the aid differs according to the status of the candidate:
1. You are a job seeker: contact your Pôle Emploi office
2. You are a young person from school or a student: you have the possibility of obtaining a grant according to tax income (information and constitution of the student social file on the site www.crous.fr)
3. You are an intermittent performer: contact the AFDAS, possibility of taking charge of your OPCA as part of continuing education or your DIF.
4. You are employed on a CDD or CDI: inform your employer of your training project and contact your OPCA (AFDAS, UNIFORMATION).

g) DOES THE PNSD ORGANIZE A SEPTEMBER CATCHING SESSION FOR THEORETICAL OR PEDAGOGICAL EXAMS?
No, the exams only take place only in May / June.

h) IS IT POSSIBLE TO APPLY AS A FREE CANDIDATE TO PASS THE THEORETICAL OR EDUCATIONAL EXAMINATIONS?
Yes, subject to availability. A complete letter with a detailed CV, a motivation letter and a copy of the training resume must be sent to the attention of the head of studies. Requests are recorded in order of arrival; Former PNSD students have priority.
An answer will be given no later than one week before the exam date.

- Theoretical courses groupe: 60 €
- Courses groupe of pedagogy: 150 €

i) CAN WE PREPARE THE THEACHING DIPLOMA THROUGHOUT SCHOOL / WORK ALTERNATION?
No, so far this is not possible.
